I'm Nostra-f'in-damus

There you have it folks, bona fide predictions for the new year. Trust us on this one, we know what we're talking about.

Classes start up again today, much to the dismay of more than a few students. As I understand it, the end of a break and the beginning of classes are undeniably linked together, the latter has the annoying habit of always following the former. Secretly, I've always wished there was some way that break could end without classes starting, but then, I've never been much for common sense. Realistically, I suppose I should start trying to break my bad habit of staying up so late since I've now lost the option to sleep in past noon. But I probably won't be making much headway on that goal tonight.

I hope everyone had a fun, safe New Year's. Our celebration wasn't too shabby, actually. As Justin stated earlier, four of us brought our instruments and played a few of our songs for our friends. That was great fun, and for me, honestly, it was the highlight of the evening. Any excitement that was drawn from the actual 2004-2005 transition was dwarfed by the enjoyment of getting to play music in front of others (and without them recoiling in horror, too). If we ever make a good recording of ourselves, I'd be thrilled to post it here and share it with all of you. You can check out some pictures from the party here if you'd like.

As is the case every year, I've taken an active stand against resolutions - vowing to resolve absolutely nothing. Seriously, fixing yourself just requires way too much effort. That's effort that could be put into other things of greater importance.

This news may be old hat for some of you, but all fans of Douglas Adams should be aware of this.
